There is strong evidence for the efficacy of U=U to protect sexual partners from HIV transmission. There is also consensus that U = U has a low risk of transmission from breastfeeding. However, there is limited to no evidence that U=U in the context of blood-to-blood transmission among People Who Inject Drugs.
