Hepatitis Australia and the Australian Injecting & Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL) is proud to announce that there is now a dedicated resource for people who use performance and image enhancing drugs (PIEDs).
The joint product is called The Juice – Information for Safer Gains.
People take PIEDs with the intention of changing their physical appearance and to enhance their sporting performance. These substances can include anabolic steroids, peptides and hormones.
Among the reasons people use these substances are the following:
- increasing the size and definition of muscles
- reducing water retention
- reducing body fat
- increasing strength and endurance
- helping the body recover quicker from injury.
The website was produced by Hepatitis Australia with support from the Australian Injecting & Illicit Drug Users League (AIVL). Development of the site was made possible with grant funding from the Australian Government Department of Health.
